For sale here is a nice sweater from Visvim. The Visvim label is perhaps best known for their crazy fabrics (and also for their very high retail prices). There really aren’t many labels that go to the level that Visvim does when it comes to choosing their materials. Most fabrics are custom, often in custom dyes and washes as well, many of them highly exclusive (and very expensive as a result). This sweater is a vintage Visvim piece, coming from the 2014aw collection. Even with this somewhat older piece you still have the crazy devotion to fabric that Visvim has consistently had all the way through.
So with this sweater we have a fine high gauge knit wool as the main material. Fabric is 100% wool. Color is a solid navy blue, given a very nice texture. Design is pretty straightforward in this case, although there are some accents with the knitting on the shoulders, and ribbing on the cuffs and waistband. It is intentionally understated, allowing the high quality material to do the heavy lifting. Fabric here is tightly woven, very soft and comfortable and also nicely insulating.
These sweaters retailed at about $300 in Japan and went for considerably more abroad if you can find them. This particular model was unique for the season and is now completely sold out. Get it here at the cheapest price around.
Size is labeled a 2 and fits a standard medium. There is a bit of stretch to the fabric, but unstretched I measure the chest at 20” / 51cm, shoulders at 18” / 47cm, length at 27” / 68cm from the base of the neck, and sleeves at 23” / 59cm from the shoulder. The sweater comes in used, generally good shape. There is a small hole on the left elbow area (pictured). Otherwise no problems. Made in Japan.
