Visvim 2017ss fluxus 03 chino, size 2 (M/34”)

$39.99

Available here is a pair of pants from Visvim, this one from their spring-summer 2017 collection, known as the “fluxus 03 chino” pants. Visvim is one of the best-known Japanese labels going at the moment, known for producing some of the highest quality pieces out there. Visvim really spares no expense on their materials in particular, where they combine traditional manufacturing techniques with new technologies, creating completely unique, beautiful pieces in the process. Their retail prices are also some of the highest out there, but you can be sure you’re getting some value for that high cost.

Material here is a long staple cotton, given Visvim’s signature vintage treatment. The long staple cotton makes the fabric soft but at the same time much harder-wearing and more resilient than a more standard material. It’s one of those differences that you can’t necessarily see with your eyes, but something easily experienced when worn. Color is navy blue with a bit of visible fading. Silhouette is somewhat slim, coming in a standard length fit. Visvim has been producing baggier silhouettes more recently, so if you are into their slimmer fits, this is a very good piece in one of their rarer designs.

As always with Visvim, there are all kinds of details. All of Visvim’s textiles are custom, and pockets are done in a really nice which cotton canvas. We’ve got a zip fly here, with branded rivets and waistband button. Rear has a natural elk leather patch. These pants retail at about $300 in Japan and about $450 abroad if you can find them. Get them here at a much more reasonable price.

Size is labeled a 2. I measure the waist at 34”, inseam at 31”, rise at 10” and leg opening at 7.75”. The pants come in used but good shap. There is some visible wear throughout, including some minor fading as noted. Also note that the Visvim bag and tags are not included with this sale. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $30.
