Wooyoungmi wool tailored blazer jacket, made in Korea, size 50 (M)

$34.99

Up for sale here is a jacket from Wooyoungmi, one of the first South Korean designers to show internationally. Like many of the top labels out there, Wooyoungmi makes no compromises in terms of design or quality. You can be sure any of her pieces will be extremely well made and always with some unique design to it.

The Wooyoungmi label has actually been going since 2002, although they have become more popular in recent years. They’re one of those labels that is much more apt to let their clothes do the talking rather than relying on heavy advertising or anything like that.

In this case we have an excellent jacket with the exterior done in a 96% wool, 4% polyurethane blend. Interior is fully lined in a 55% polyester, 45% rayon blend, while I believe the interior hand stitching in pink is done in silk. This is a medium weight piece, the sort of thing that looks maybe a bit more formal. It incorporates some hand detailing, most visible on the interior of the jacket. The poly content also gives the jacket a bit of a stretch, ensuring a maximum level of comfort. The jacket is easy to wear and the dark colorway makes it match with pretty much everything.

Wooyoungmi can be pretty hard to track down outside of Asia, although she does enjoy a pretty strong cult following. Retail on her jackets is around $1000 or so, but get it here much more reasonably.

Size is labeled a 50 and fits a standard medium. I measure the chest at 20.5”, shoulders at 18”, length at 30.5” in front and 29.5” in back, and sleeves at 25” from the shoulder. The jacket comes in used, generally good shape. There is some kind of abrasion and wear on the right chest area (pictured). It is not super noticeable but noted in the interest of full disclosure. Otherwise no holes, tears or stains. Made in Korea.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $30.
