Up for sale here is a pair of pants from the 45 rpm label. 45 rpm are perhaps best known for their indigo products, although they produce a full line of some of the nicest stuff out there. Their attention to detail, particularly in regard to their fabrics, is second to none. Few labels out there have better fabrics, and 45 rpm always like to incorporate a lot of interesting details on top of it.
These pants come from 45 rpm’s “jobu de nagamochi” range (roughly translated as useful and long-lasting). Material is 45 rpm’s super high quality long staple cotton, done here in a heavier, denser weave than usual. It is not quite at a heavy moleskin level, but I would consider it maybe a light moleskin. It is heavier than a standard pair of chinos and should work well good year-round wear. The fabric weave has a lot of character and texture to it, as you can see on the detailed pics.
Material aside, these pants have the usual high attention to detail you would expect from 45 rpm. These come in a “baker pant” silhouette, with two patch side pockets, straight leg, and navy blue color. Waistband has an embroidered “&” logo with additional embroidery on the rear right pocket. Front coin pocket has a logo tag and belt loops are nicely slanted. 45 rpm is always produced in limited quantities and only available at their stores. Retail is typically very expensive, where these pants were about $350 in Japan alone, and were even more abroad if you could find them.
Size is labeled a 34 and fits true. I measure the waist at 34” / 86cm, inseam at 31” / 80cm, rise at 11.5” / 29cm and opening at the bottom of the leg at 9.5” / 24cm. The pants come in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $30.
