For sale here is a jacket from the FOB Factory label. FOB Factory is one of Japan’s smaller-scale, highly Americana-inspired labels based in the Kojima area of central Japan. Kojima is home to most of Japan’s denim and textile industry, known for high quality manufacturing with a concentration of both highly skilled workers and vintage machinery. FOB Factory has been active since 1995, producing entirely on vintage looms and using the highest quality of materials available.
This jacket comes in a classic light weight coverall silhouette with a number of details to set them apart from the pack. Fabric is 100% cotton, done with a nice texture to it. Pocket formation is a bit different from the standard coverall, where the side pockets are larger than normal and have button closure, while the chest pocket is brought down some, making for a nice little twist on a classic look.
FOB Factory only produce pretty limited runs of their clothing and are stocked by only a handful of dealers domestically and internationally. At the moment they seem to have some European distribution but none in North America. They specialize primarily in denim, but get a rare non-denim piece here at the cheapest price around.
Size is labeled a 3/large and fits more like a standard medium. I measure the chest at 20” / 52cm, shoulders at 18” / 46cm, length at 29” / 74cm, and sleeves at 25” / 64cm from the shoulder. The jacket comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
