Japan Blue Jeans garment dyed Cote d’Ivoire cotton half raglan tee, M

$34.99

For sale here is a shirt from the Japan Blue jeans label. Japan Blue is one of the lines manufactured by Rampuya, the same company that does the Momotaro label. Both labels are very strongly jeans and indigo oriented, producing exclusively in the Kojima area of Japan, although the Momotaro label is probably more widely known and releases a fuller range. Japan Blue focuses pretty strongly on jeans and denim jackets, but the same high quality production standards are still very much there, as are the really detailed and unique fabrics. They’ve recently branched out a bit more, working on button down shirts, tees and sweaters as well.

This tee comes in a half raglan sleeve garment dye, done here in Cote D’Ivoire cotton as noted on the bottom tag. Construction is excellent, where Japan Blue Jeans always builds their clothing tough and made to last. Fabric is garment dyed, coming in a pleasantly uneven shade of green. Front has a silkscreened white line. The half raglan detail refers to the shoulder seams, where the front is a standard t-shirt silhouette, while the rear has a raglan seam (without shoulder seams). It is an interesting little detail that sets it apart.

These pieces are of course produced in very limited quantities, and pretty hard to come by especially outside of Japan. The production process makes this one rarer than usual and quite a bit more time consuming. You definitely won’t find another one of these anytime soon.

Size is labeled a medium and fits a hair slim. I measure the chest at 19” / 49cm, shoulders at 18” / 46cm, and length at 26” / 66cm. The shirt comes in used, good shape. There is some wear around the neck tag area, but otherwise no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $22.
