Japan Blue Jeans high count corduroy pants, size 32

$34.99

For sale here is a pair of pants from the Japan Blue jeans label. Japan Blue is one of the lines manufactured by Rampuya, the same company that does the Momotaro label. Both labels are very strongly jeans and indigo oriented, producing exclusively in the Kojima area of Japan, although the Momotaro label is probably more widely known and releases a fuller range. Japan Blue focuses mostly on jeans and denim jackets, but the same high quality production standards are still very much there, as are the really detailed and unique fabrics.

These pants are called “14w high count corduroy tight straight jeans”. Silhouette is based on classic five pocket denim jeans but done in a burgundy corduroy. Fabric is a 14 wale corduroy in 100% cotton, where the high wale count means a pretty large number of corduroy lines. A lower wale count brings larger, thicker wales. In either case, the corduroy makes the fabric thicker than your average cotton and the pants well suited for fall-winter-spring wear.

Details include branded waistband button, a zip fly, metal rivets reinforcing the pockets, a high quality rear leather patch, and custom fabric pockets. Construction is one of Rampuya’s strong points in my opinion, where they always build their pieces super tough. All seams use tough chain stitching, and these pants should be able to take a beating pretty well.

Size is labeled a 32 and fits if just a hair slim in the waist. I measure the waist at 32” / 80cm, inseam at 29” / 74cm, rise at 9.5” / 24cm and opening at the bottom of the leg at 8” / 20cm. The pants come in lightly used, excellent shape with no holes, tears, stains, or obvious signs of wear. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $30.
