Nanamica multifabric cotton shirt, size S, made in Japan

$29.99

Up for sale here is a button down shirt from the Nanamica label, a somewhat smaller Japanese outdoor-themed clothing label that has long roots in the Japanese fashion industry. These guys are also responsible for the North Face Purple Label, distributing the Helly Hansen line in Japan, and collaborate often with a number of sportswear lines. Nanamica is an interesting label in itself, where it often uses performance and technical fabrics but in more casual designs. What you end up with is a classic aesthetic with a considerable level of functionality.

This shirt opts for a more standard cotton fabric, although the execution and design keep things interesting. Material is 100% cotton, with a check design on the front, a solid gray fabric on the back, and white cotton canvas on the side gussets. There is a Kelly collar detail, with an extra button on the collar that you can wear buttoned or unbuttoned according to your preference. Button placket also has a tag that says “one ocean, all lands”.

As always with Nanamica the design is very well considered, where this shirt straddles the line between something more formal and more casual and can be worn across a variety of situations. Nanamica shirts retail in the neighborhood of $240 but get it here well below that.

Size is labeled a small and fits true. I measure the chest at 20”, shoulders at 16”, length at 25” in front and 27” in back, and sleeves at 23” from the shoulder. The shirt comes in used condition with two issues to note: for one the top collar button is missing (although this is invisible when the collar is worn open as pictured), and there is a small hole on the back, toward the bottom-right side of the shirt. Otherwise no issues. Price reflects condition. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
