Pure Blue Japan jeans indigo dyed hooded sweater, size 2 (M)

$49.99 Sold out

Up for sale here is a hooded zip up sweater by the Pure Blue Japan label. These guys are one of the better known Japanese denim labels out there, rightfully highly regarded for their jeans and denim jackets, although they also manufacture a wider range of apparel including tees, pants and sweaters, as you can see here.

Fabric here is a medium weight knit cotton with a solid blue exterior and a white interior with a terrycloth sort of texture, medium in weight. Fabric is indigo dyed in blue. One of the properties of a quality indigo like this is that it will pleasantly fade and develop with wear. This sweater already has some very nice fading to it, with a really unique character. Front has a vintage style zip, while the hood portion is lined in a vintage blanket style fabric. Hood lining is a 38% cotton, 34% acrylic, 28% wool blend, giving it a bit more weight than the body of the sweater. Front has two large side pockets, with a chest pocket on the interior. Pockets are all reinforced on the interior with indigo dyed selvedge cotton lining.

While Pure Blue Japan has a bit better international distribution than a lot of the other Japanese denim specialist labels, they still produce in very small quantities and remain very hard to track down. These sweats retail at about $250 in Japan and go for even more abroad. This model is also completely sold out, but get it here while you can.

Size is labeled a 2, which fits a standard medium. I measure the chest at 22” / 55cm, shoulders at 20.5” / 52cm, length at 25” / 64cm and sleeves at 25” / 63cm. The sweater comes in lightly used, very good shape. There is some fading of the indigo, otherwise no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $26.
