Up for sale here is a jacket from French workwear label Vetra. There are a number of similar French heritage labels offering no-fuss, well made and timeless pieces (which are often still somehow made in France). These include labels like Danton, Laboureur and Orcival. Vetra definitely fits in the same mold, where they’ve been producing quality work wear in France for quite a while now.
Silhouette here is based on the classic shop coat, done in a medium weight cotton twill. A cotton twill is a densely woven cotton fabric creating lines in the knit. This adds weight and resiliency to the fabric and is a staple for military usage. There is a three button closure down the front, two large side pockets and a single vent on the rear. It’s a no-fuss, classic design. The sort of thing the French are best at: classy, highly functional, timeless, and effortlessly cool. This will go with pretty much everything, keep you comfortable, and will work really well as a fall-spring-summer layering piece.
Size is labeled a 40 and fits a medium well. I measure the chest at 20.5” / 56cm, shoulders at 18” / 46cm, length at 35” / 89cm and sleeves at 25” / 63cm from the shoulder. The jacket comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in France.
Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $30.
