Up for sale here is a jacket from Visvim, this model called the “achse”. This one comes from the spring-summer 2015 season. It’s a military-inspired silhouette, one that they’ve released a few different iterations of the past couple summers. If you are at all familiar with Visvim, you are likely aware of their obsession with quality materials and construction. They put a huge amount of effort into really all of their pieces, making sure they’re unique, well fitting, and above all of incredibly high quality. No expense is spared in making the best possible clothing, although their retail prices unfortunately reflect this as well.

This jacket is similarly excellent. Material is Visvim’s signature “damaged chino”, basically a long-staple cotton that has been given a vintage processing. Exterior is 100% cotton, while interior is fully lined in a 50/50 cotton/ linen blend. On top of that you have vegetable ivory buttons throughout, hand-drawn military style detail on the left shoulder, drawstring at the waist, two expanding chest pockets and two side pockets. Inspiration is definitely vintage military here, although fit and materials have been nicely tweaked into something distinct. Still, the same philosophy of a multipurpose jacket, something you can easily throw on and that will go with everything remains.

This particular model is now totally sold out. Japanese retail was about $750, and retail outside of Japan was a crazy $1300 or so. I don’t think you’ll find this anywhere else at such a reasonable price.

Size is labeled a 3, although I would say this fits a medium best in my opinion. I measure the chest at 21” / 53cm, shoulders at 16” / 41cm, length at 28.5” / 73cm from the base of the neck, and sleeves at 25.5” / 65cm from the shoulder. The jacket comes in used generally good shape. There are some very small ink stains just below the right pocket, and some additional wear on the left front pocket (see pics). Otherwise no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan. Note that the Visvim bag and tags are not included with this sale.
