Graph Zero indigo dyed sashiko shop coat, size L

$54.99 Sold out

Up for sale here is a jacket from the Graph Zero label. Graph Zero is another one of those strongly vintage inspired Japanese labels located in Kojima area of central Japan, home to Japan’s denim industry. Graph Zero are somewhat unique in that they have their own factory, and as such are able to gather quite a bit of expertise and keep things pretty vertically integrated. They have been going since 2004 and are still on the smaller side of things, where they only seem to have distribution to a handful of shops in Asia outside of Japan.

With all that said, Graph Zero produce some really interesting and cool pieces. This is a pretty interesting take on the classic shop coat. Fabric is 100% cotton, indigo dyed with an intricate sashiko knit throughout. The fabric definitely takes center stage here, where it is pretty uncommon to find this kind sashiko in a coat. It is a medium weight piece, not a super light summer jacket but definitely not a winter coat either. The shop coat is intended as a work wear piece, something you wear in the shop to keep your regular clothes clean, although it is highly elevated here. Pocket formation is pretty unique, with an asymmetric chest detail, two large side pockets, as well as two large interior pockets with side entry for additional convenience. The coat is finished off with some nicely contrasting branded brass buttons used throughout.

In sum you have a very interesting piece here, indigo dyed and very well built. You definitely will not find anything quite like this elsewhere. Get it here at a fraction of the retail price.

Size is labeled a large and fits true. I measure the chest at 22” / 55cm, shoulders at 17” / 43cm, length at 49” / 101cm and sleeves at 26” / 66cm. The coat comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears, stains or visible fading of the indigo. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $30.
