Up for sale here is a pair of pants from the Or Slow label, one of the perhaps smaller “American casual” labels going in Japan, but one that has managed to attract a pretty strong cult following. Or Slow mainly draws their inspiration from vintage military and work wear, where they often re-work and reinterpret classic pieces, adding their own unique stamp and aesthetic.
This is Or Slow’s take on the classic khaki pants. Inspiration here is pretty squarely on 1960s-70s Americana. They’ve really nailed the fabric and fit. This is a straight leg silhouette, not too loose or too tight, aiming for that timeless look that will go with pretty much everything. Fabric is 100% cotton, coming in a pleasantly uneven knit cotton. Fabric is pretty light in weight making for a good summer weight fabric. Retail was around $300 and this model is now completely sold out.
Size is labeled a 3 and fits a 32” waist well. I measure the waist at 32” / 84cm, inseam at 26.5” / 67cm, rise at 11” / 28cm and leg opening at 7.5” / 19cm. This is a straight leg fit, one that is neither too loose nor too baggy but nicely straddling the line in between. The pants come in used, generally good shape. There are a few small stains throughout that are pictured, although nothing too crazy. No holes or tears. Made in Japan.
Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $30.
